About The Position

Jamison Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Administration Support Services Specialist to provide part-time administrative support to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The successful candidate will support a variety of administrative functions involving personnel administration, budget and resource management, organizational planning, reporting, and day-to-day administrative operations. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to interpret policies and coordinate multiple administrative programs.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of human resources/personnel processes, budget operations, administrative management, and organizational support functions.
  • Knowledge of administrative and data systems used to support organizational operations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple programs, assignments, and competing priorities.
  • Experience preparing management reports, workload information, and other administrative documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with leadership, internal stakeholders, and other organizational personnel.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting established deadlines and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support VA personnel administration activities, including position management, grievance procedures, timekeeping, and performance processes.
  • Assist with budget formulation, resource tracking, fiscal planning, and maintenance of internal financial controls.
  • Support administrative programs involving equipment coordination, space management, supply oversight, and IT resource planning.
  • Coordinate and respond to data calls and assist with the preparation and tracking of required information.
  • Support Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and congressional response activities.
  • Perform workload analysis and prepare administrative and management reports.
  • Support incoming workload assigned through applicable contracting systems.
  • Assist leadership with the development and implementation of administrative policies.
  • Participate in organizational planning activities and provide administrative support to management.
  • Interpret applicable policies and procedures and assist with coordinating administrative programs and requirements.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documentation as required.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
