About The Position

The objective is to provide administrative support to the Montreal-East terminal, ensuring rigor and organization in the activities of the various departments. Ensure the management of hourly payroll and social benefits; ensure daily liaison for the transmission of problems encountered by employees. Carry out regular billing and follow-up tasks (supplier accounts, invoice management, expense tracking, etc.), and participate in safety initiatives at the plant site. Furthermore, support the plant manager in management and reporting related to production, inventories, and plant forecasts.

Requirements

  • College Diploma (DEC) in a professional field (3 years) or Bachelor's degree in administration, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in administration, office management, or accounting.
  • Certificates in accounting administration; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; proficiency in SAP and ERP software (a major asset).
  • Strong administrative and accounting skills; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to manage priorities, handle multiple requests, and work autonomously within a team.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (oral and written) is mandatory, as the incumbent must regularly communicate with clients, suppliers, and support teams outside of Quebec.
  • Flexibility in working hours due to 24/7 site operations (ship reception, vacation replacements, etc.).
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the appropriate use of Amrize-approved personal protective equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety culture through dialogue with employees and subcontractors, and contribute to the development and management of safety policies and procedures aiming for the objective of 'zero' incidents.
  • Execute accounts payable management tasks, including the creation of purchase requisitions, tracking of purchase orders, verification and receipt of invoices and bills of lading in SAP.
  • Ensure the bi-weekly closing of the hourly employee payroll period, keep personnel files up to date, and manage social benefit and retirement programs via MyLife.
  • Coordinate monthly financial reports, forecasting tools (MBP), verification of actual inventory for audit, and management of the capital expenditure budget (CAPEX).
  • Support production by ensuring the updating of reference data (daily reports, manufacturing recipes, energy consumption) and analyze investment needs with operational teams.
  • Manage general office administration, mail processing, equipment and supplies, as well as tracking service contracts (uniforms, maintenance, telephony, site security).
  • Assist suppliers in updating their information in the Avetta health and safety database.
  • Organize pre-employment physical fitness assessments, distribution of PPE, fitting of uniforms, and collaborate in the organization of social activities.
