About The Position

CAA-Québec is seeking a Network and Telecommunications Solutions Administrator to contribute to the operation and evolution of its technological infrastructures. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, configuration, security, and optimization of the organization's network and data communication infrastructures, in both on-site and cloud environments. You will ensure the availability, performance, and security of network systems to effectively support the company's operations and users. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a hybrid remote work arrangement, requiring travel to our Montreal office twice a week.

Requirements

  • Diploma in IT, telecommunications, networking, or a related field (or relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in network administration in complex technological environments
  • Proficiency with Palo Alto solutions
  • Proficiency with Fortinet solutions, ideally with certification (NSE 4 minimum)
  • Solid knowledge of cloud networking and associated concepts (virtual networks, peering, gateways, load balancing), regardless of the provider
  • Mastery of network protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL) and SD-WAN
  • Understanding of network cybersecurity principles (segmentation, zero trust, defense in depth)
  • Bilingualism in French and English (written, spoken, and read)
  • Demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively solve problems, even in demanding or high-pressure situations
  • Good communication skills and ability to write clear and structured documentation
  • Availability for on-call rotation and intervention outside normal working hours, when required

  • Relevant certifications (Fortinet NSE, cloud certifications, CCNA)
  • Scripting/automation (Python, Terraform, REST API)

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Fortinet network and security equipment (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, FortiAP)
  • Design, deploy, and manage network architectures in cloud environments: virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, routing, segmentation, and interconnections
  • Administer, configure, and maintain the Palo Alto SASE Global Protect solution
  • Manage data telecommunications links (WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, operator links) and supplier relationships
  • Monitor network performance and availability, diagnose and resolve incidents (levels 2 and 3)
  • Implement and maintain network security policies (firewalls, site-to-site and remote access VPNs, filtering, intrusion prevention)
  • Document configurations, procedures, and architecture diagrams
  • Participate in migration, modernization, and integration projects for new solutions
  • Ensure patch management, upgrades, and compliance
