About The Position

At McIntosh Trail Community Service Board, we offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness, addictive disease and/or developmental disability the hope for optimal functioning and recovery by providing quality behavioral health services and supports. Summary Under general supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes and/or a few specialized and/or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • General office or administrative experience
  • Typing on keyboard.
  • Potentially performing CPI maneuvers with individuals served.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25/50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with staff to continue to develop system of monitoring and tracking clerical responsibilities.
  • Manage medical records and patient assistance documentation.
  • Communicate with consumers and public to gather and disperse information.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance families through SOC; by linking clients with and build upon other system change initiatives (i.e. homelessness, physical health, self-care, and living skills).
  • Identifying and developing natural support resources; linking strengths to strategies and objectives for family members, natural supports (individuals), and formal team members, ensuring no cost/low-cost resources are explored and exhausted before utilizing customized goods and services flex funding.
  • Provide training and education to parents and youth to support resiliency and self-efficacy.
  • Recognize and identify the central importance of the support a youth/child, parents/caregivers, and other family members receive "naturally," i.e., from the individuals and organizations whose connection to the family is independent of the formal service system and its resources.
  • Compute fees and schedule appointments as necessary.
  • Coordinate schedules, ensure authorizations, work with eligibility specialists, and monitor to ensure no more than 10 write-offs annually.
  • Meet clerical guidelines and act as backup safety monitor.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
