About The Position

This position is in Augusta, GA and does not offer relocation assistance. Must be within a reasonable commuting distance. If relocating to the area, please specify on the application. As a TB Admin Support within Richmond County Health Department, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of general office or administrative experience

Responsibilities

  • Completes tasks and assignments associated with administrative support functions of the running of a TB clinic
  • Greet clients and visitors and provide excellent customer service
  • Answer telephones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Obtain confidential client information and accurately Enter data into both EHR and SendSS computer systems in accordance with TB policies and procedures
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate client records
  • File and maintain records in accordance with program and agency requirements including ALA
  • Assists clients with intake process, Verifying insurance, discussing fees and completing necessary forms and documentation
  • Collect, review and process required paperwork including follow-up coordination with a high level of accuracy
  • Utilize basic math skills to perform program-related calculations and ensure accurate data entry
  • Maintain detailed filing and recordkeeping systems
  • Work effectively in a team environment with quickly changing priorities as set by supervisor
  • Once trained, perform TST as delegated
  • Assist with ordering of supplies and ensuring all expiration dates are current
  • Uses independent judgement and initiative to perform administrative, clerical and secretarial duties in support of the TB Clinic
  • Assist with pulling reports from 13 counties and preparing GIA report
  • Perform DOT and site visits when assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
