About The Position

This job may be eligible for a $15,000 Sign On Bonus! Hours: 20 - 22 Hours, varying shifts, every 3rd weekend and holiday, Monday through Sunday. The salary range for this position reflects our good-faith estimate of base pay at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. We regularly review our compensation structures to ensure fairness and consistency across our organization. Responds immediately to critical events. Adjusts staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care. Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff. Assists staff with conflict resolution (i.e. staff/physician, patient/physician, staff/staff). Advocates for patients, families, and staff. Supports other departments to meet patient needs.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • Three - four years acute care experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in management and / or leadership role required
  • AHA ACLS Certification (required)
  • Leadership attributes and decision-making skills.

  • BS degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Three - four years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responds immediately to critical events
  • Provides leadership and follow – up during critical events such as code blue, code red and code 100.
  • Provides appropriate follow – up (i.e. staff education, documentation, family / staff support, etc.)
  • Evaluates staffing needs continuously and adjusts as necessary to meet the needs of the patient for the current and next shifts.
  • Functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the nursing staff.
  • Provides clinical consultation, advice and education.
  • Assists staff with problems.
  • Completes all employee performance evaluations by evaluation due dates.
  • Mediates conflict.
  • Reports and communicates situation appropriately.
  • Intervenes on patient / staff behalf.
  • Supports patients’ rights.
  • Maintains operations of other departments during non-operating hours.
  • Functions as an administrative resource for other departments during non-operative hours.
