About The Position
We are hiring an Adjuvant to join our growing team at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre. We are seeking a Temporary full-time occupational therapy assistant to provide support for our residents in our Long-Term Care.
Requirements
- Certificate Adjuvant training Course for staff from Charitable and MUNICIPAL homes for the Aged in Ontario required, or certificate/diploma in Occupational Therapy assistant and Physical Therapy assistant
- Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Nice To Haves
- Fluency in both official languages would be an asset
Responsibilities
- Performs the function of an Adjuvant in assisting, planning, implementing and evaluating all assigned resident care and therapies in collaboration with the Medical Director, Physical Therapist / Occupational Therapist, physicians and nursing staff to coordinate programmes for the residents referred to Therapy Services.
- Adheres to established standards of Adjuvant practice.
- Promotes teamwork with Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Resident Care Aides, and Therapy staff, physicians and personnel from other departments.
