Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, social sciences, medicine, bioethics, history of science, or related areas.
- Must have teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level.
- If applying for a course focusing on global issues, global expertise is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Teach required number of credit hours per quarter
- Plan and provide instructional experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the program
- Provide instruction consistent with approved course descriptions
- Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes
- Maintain communication with the department chair and program director regarding any course or student issues
- Supervise a teaching assistant, if one is assigned to the course
- Perform other similar duties as assigned
- Select course materials in accordance with the approved course description
- Foster active learning in all students
- Maintain proper course-related records
- Evaluate student work
- Provide students with feedback
