About The Position

This position involves teaching an early childhood education primary grade practicum course (ECE 399R). The role requires participation in university, college, and department faculty meetings as requested, and meeting appropriate dress and conduct standards. Preference will be given to candidates available to teach daytime classes (8 am - 4 pm). The successful candidate will be required to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend. All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Degree must be in elementary or early childhood education or a related field from an accredited university.
• The required degree must be completed by the start date.
• Expertise in elementary and/or early childhood education classroom management (K-6).
• Successful experience as a licensed K-6 public school classroom teacher, minimum 4 years of experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
• Must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend (if a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).
