About The Position

This position involves teaching a 2-credit hour elective class, Soc W 684: Social Work Practice with Spanish Speakers, during the Fall Semester. The class will be held on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:50 PM. The instructor will also be expected to hold regular office hours. This role does not require attendance at faculty meetings. The position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Requirements

  • MSW degree completed by the start date.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Clinical practice experience with Spanish-language clients.
  • Minimum two years of practice experience.
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • Commitment to the Mission of Brigham Young University and the Aims of a BYU Education.
  • If a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • Abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
