About The Position

Teach weekly private trumpet lessons Fully vested in the Aims and Mission of BYU Direct weekly masterclass for trumpet students Coach chamber music groups Attend end-of-semester juries as a faculty adjudicator Oversee and attend pre-recital hearings and required junior and senior recitals Attend entrance auditions Excellent student mentoring skills

Requirements

Masters degree in Music, Trumpet Performance or related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Five years experience teaching private trumpet lessons is required.
This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.

Teaching on a collegiate level preferred.
