About The Position

Teach Psych 320: Developmental Psychology: Childhood Teach the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children from the prenatal period through late childhood, including major theories, research methods, and developmental processes across biological, cognitive, and social domains Prepare students to evaluate and integrate research in developmental psychology and to think critically about factors influencing normative development and risk for psychopathology Support students in applying developmental concepts through active learning, research-based assignments, and applied experiences In sum, candidates will approach child development through both scientific principles and faith-informed perspectives Our department values belonging, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research This course will be taught in Fall Semester 2026 on MWF 11:00AM-11:50AM. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Show commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with teaching in research methods is preferred
