About The Position
This position involves teaching introductory physics and physical science courses at the Salt Lake Center. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering course content, facilitating student learning, assessing and grading student work, maintaining course records, and providing academic support. The instruction must align with established curriculum, learning outcomes, and departmental standards.
Requirements
- MS in Physics, or closely related field (required by start date)
- Ability to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment
Nice To Haves
- PhD preferred
- College-level teaching experience in physics or a related field
- Experience teaching introductory physics
- Experience supporting student learning
- Experience effectively communicating scientific and mathematical concepts
Responsibilities
- Teach PHSCS 105: General Physics 1
- Teach PHSCS 106: General Physics 2
- Teach PHY S 100: Physical Science
- Prepare and deliver course content
- Facilitate student learning
