About The Position

This position involves the instruction of university undergraduates for a tourism geography class (GEOG 347) during the Fall 2026 semester. The class will be taught as an evening course once per week on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:50 PM. The instructor will be responsible for giving and grading assignments and holding office hours as needed. The role is not expected to attend department meetings. The successful candidate will be required to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required, PhD preferred.
  • Degree must be in Geography or related field.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Teaching experience and/or excellent knowledge of tourism geography.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
