About The Position

BYU's Design Department is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach undergraduate motion design courses on a part-time basis. The courses include DES 280: Motion Concepts, DESGD 380 Motion Design, and DES 383 Analog Motion or Interdisciplinary Motion courses. The role involves lecturing, creating assignments, grading, conducting critiques, and communicating with students via email. Part-time faculty are not required to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, serve on committees, or mentor students. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Brigham Young University is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

  • BFA required.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • Successful candidate must support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

  • MFA in Graphic Design preferred.
