About The Position

This position involves teaching NURS 555, an advanced pharmacology course within the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program. The course covers pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacogenetics, including common medication interactions and contraindications. The role includes supervising, supporting, mentoring, and evaluating graduate FNP students in a didactic setting, grading assignments and exams with constructive feedback, and collaborating with the course coordinator and program faculty. Travel to campus each week is required for in-person instruction.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) focus required.
  • Current, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Utah.
  • Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (e.g., through AANP or ANCC).
  • At least five years of clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD preferred.
