This position involves teaching Old Testament courses (Rel A 300, 301, 302, 304, or 327) as an adjunct faculty member. Classes may be taught during the day, in the evening, or online through BYU Online. The role requires the successful candidate to relocate to and reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Applicants are required to submit an updated curriculum vitae, cover letter, and a Mission Alignment Statement. For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the statement should address loyalty to Christ and His Church, building faith among students, and teaching with the Spirit. For non-members, the statement should describe understanding and commitment to the university's mission and aims of education. All new employees who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold a current temple recommend and all employees must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
