About The Position

Adjunct Professor for online college writing and public speaking courses within the College of Business. This is a temporary, part-time position responsible for teaching online, asynchronous courses. The role involves course set-up, quality review, weekly engagement on discussion boards, grading, providing individual feedback, and regular communication with students and administrators. Various administrative functions related to reporting and student engagement are also part of the responsibilities. Employment will be for the Summer and Fall 2027 semester.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in English, English Education, or Communications
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience required
  • Online teaching experience required
  • Applicants must submit a cover letter outlining the specific courses they are qualified to teach, their direct background creating and teaching in an online setting, and their teaching philosophy.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in Canvas Learning Management System highly desired
