About The Position

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) program. This part-time, per diem position involves teaching assigned lectures within the MBS curriculum. The content areas may include public health, community health, healthcare systems, equity in healthcare, patient-provider communication, interprofessional practice, epidemiology, biomedical ethics, healthcare communication, standardized test taking, research methods, research ethics, and human subjects communication. PNWU, founded in 2005, is a non-profit medical institution dedicated to increasing healthcare access in underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest. The university offers multiple health science degrees and enrolls over 550 students annually, with interprofessional education partnerships adding another 100 students. The campus has 300 employees and academic programming across five states. Located in Yakima, WA, PNWU is situated in a region known for agriculture and outdoor recreation.

Requirements

A Doctorate Degree or All but Dissertation (ABD), as recognized by United States accrediting associations, or appropriate terminal degree (i.e., standards established by recognized United States accrediting associations).

Responsibilities

Teach assigned lectures and any others as assigned.
