About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business & Technology to teach courses within the prescribed curriculum. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, administering and grading examinations, and providing academic assistance to students. Requirements

  • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, or other related engineering or construction discipline.
  • OR Doctoral or Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Geographic Systems, Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineer Planning, or other related engineering or construction discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
  • Preparing and delivering lectures to students
  • Compiling, administering and grading examinations
  • Providing academic assistance to students as needed
