About The Position

Seeking qualified, experienced instructors for Philosophy courses in the Arts, Business & Education Department. Successful candidates will have experience and be willing to instruct in either face-to-face or online classes as needed. Adjunct pool applications are reviewed on an as-needed basis and will be retained for one (1) year from the date of application. Adjuncts are paid at a per credit hour rate.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Philosophy or master's degree in a closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Philosophy
• Incumbent must reside in Idaho
• Evidenced teaching experience

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (Spanish)
• At least three years of higher education teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with the approved syllabus and course outcomes
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that support student learning
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students on academic process
• Hold regular office hours or make reasonable arrangements to support student questions and academic needs
• Follow college policies, department procedures, safety guidelines, and accessibility expectations
• Communicate professionally with deans, associate deans, department chairs, colleagues, and students in a timely manner
• Attend departmental meetings and In-Service (optional)
