About The Position

Newman University, a mission-driven, Catholic, liberal arts university, is recruiting adjuncts to teach courses and/or supervise students within the clinical setting for our Nursing program during the 2027 academic year. Adjuncts at Newman University are expected to be models of educated persons, exemplifying virtues such as curiosity, tolerance, honesty, fairness, and respect for diversity. Requirements

• Master in nursing preferred, bachelor in nursing required.
• Experience in clinical education preferred.
• Experience in adult medical surgical nursing required.
• Must hold a current Kansas professional nursing license.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses appropriate to academic qualifications.
• Maintain high standards as teachers and engaging students in laboratory and/or clinical educational settings.
• Inform students of their progress by promptly returning graded assignments, quizzes, and examinations with appropriate feedback.
• Utilize the Learning Management Systems, i.e. Canvas, and other technology as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain clinical education content for assigned course(s).
• Supervise clinical activities effectively and assess educational outcomes appropriately.
• Consult with the Dean or Nursing Program Director regarding concerns.
• Complete university-required training courses and other duties as assigned.
