About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Nursing Instructor responsible for teaching clinical skills in a lab setting within an Associate Degree Nursing Program. The instructor will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of nursing subject matter, teaching methods, clinical skills, and nursing protocol. Effective communication with a diverse student population and the ability to function in a clinical setting without limitation are essential. The role requires meeting the essential functions outlined for a clinical faculty member.

Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Four (4) years of relevant work experience in nursing.
Possession of, or eligibility for, a valid license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Delaware or compact state at time of application and during employment.
Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter in areas of nursing, teaching methods, clinical skills, and nursing protocol.
Ability to communicate subject matter in a diverse population.
Ability to function in clinical setting without limitation.
Ability to use senses (visual acuity, hearing ability).
Ability to perform motor functions (walk, stand, lift, move, transfer, maneuver, perform CPR, manual dexterity).
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Ability to problem-solve (intellectual and conceptual ability).
Ability to maintain emotional stability and function safely under stress.
Ability to adapt to changing clinical and client situations.
Must meet all clinical agency requirements for immunizations.

Apply intellectual and conceptual ability for measuring, calculating, reasoning, analyzing, prioritizing, and synthesizing data.
Maintain emotional stability and function safely under stress.
Adapt to changing clinical and client situations.
Meet all clinical agency immunization requirements.
