About The Position

Washburn University's Harmony J. Hines School of Nursing invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach medical/surgical clinicals for the academic year 2026-2027. Registered nurses interested in working with students and who possess an active Kansas license are encouraged to apply. Placements are available in both acute and long-term care settings. Requirements

BSN
Minimum of two year’s experience in the nursing field
RN licensed in Kansas
Demonstrated dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage all learners.
Official educational transcripts are required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

Working with a small group of students in the clinical setting assisting with providing patient care.
Facilitating communication with the agency staff.
Assisting students with communication to other healthcare providers, patients, and families.
Ensuring facility documentation is completed by the student.
Supervising medication administration and completion of skills.
Grading student work.
Assisting with on-campus skills checkoffs and simulation.
