About The Position

The Division of Science and Mathematics at Newman University invites qualified applications for the position of adjunct instructor of mathematics, beginning in Fall 2026. This part-time position pays by the credit hour. Face-to-face, on-campus daytime courses in intermediate and college algebra are immediate needs. Online teaching experience is a plus. Adjunct faculty contribute to the enrichment of our curriculum and work collaboratively with our faculty with teaching, learning and assessment. Requirements

• Master’s degree in mathematics or closely related field.
• Prior undergraduate teaching experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Online teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses as assigned in keeping with departmental, university and accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Meet with the Division Chair a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the course to review syllabus, course materials, etc.
• Inform students of their progress by promptly returning assignments, quizzes, and examinations with appropriate feedback.
• Submit mid-term and final grades by designated deadlines.
• Utilize the Learning Management System and other technology as appropriate to deliver and enhance the learning experience.
