The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics at the University of Arizona is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach its senior capstone design sequence. This sequence includes CE 408A, Issues Civil Engr Practice, and CE 408B, CE Senior Capstone Design, for the fall and spring semesters of the 2026-27 academic year. The position is anticipated to be 0.0625 - 0.25 FTE for the full academic year. CE 408A covers non-technical aspects of design practice, such as organizational types, financial management, contract law, dispute resolution, and professional ethics. The instructor will introduce the design project, form teams, and monitor progress. CE 408B focuses on technical lectures to support student design efforts, with students submitting intermediate and final design reviews. The instructor will manage student progress and organize final review panels. Industry practitioners may contribute expertise. Visa sponsorship is not available.
