About The Position

The Department of Psychology at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the opening of Adjunct Lecturers of Psychology for the semester starting Fall, 2026. The opening requires teaching practicum courses in clinical psychology. Candidates should be available for both on-line and classroom teaching assignments. Psychology is the study of behavior, both normal and abnormal, how it is studies and its relation to applied areas of study. Part-time Lecturers are expected to teach one to two courses per semester based on the department need and agreed upon courses.

Requirements

  • Previous teaching experience and fit to the department’s teaching needs are critical.
  • Demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.
  • Ph.D. preferred and at least ABD status required.
  • Chosen candidates are expected to adhere to the conditions of Policy HR103.
  • Candidates who are current University employees must seek approval from their primary work unit prior to accepting additional appointments within Penn State.
  • Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
