The Adjunct Instructor will develop and teach a foundational research course for undergraduate health sciences students. The course may be taken as an individual elective or as the first course in a three-course elective series. It provides a conceptual and practical foundation for initiating original research, including selecting a research topic, systematically collecting and evaluating literature, and producing an annotated bibliography. The course is preferably offered in person twice weekly for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or in a hybrid format with one in-person day and one synchronous online day. There may also be an opportunity to develop the other two courses in the series: Development of Health Science Research and Application of Health Science Research. The instructor will support students individually as needed, review and grade assignments, communicate with students through Canvas or related inter-campus systems, discuss student progress with the Chair, and submit final grades to Banner by the deadline. The position calls for an independent, motivated instructor with a strong understanding of the research process, initiative, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and dedication to student engagement and learning.
