About The Position

The Department of Arts, Culture & Technology at Clarkson University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one section of World Literature (3 credits) in the Fall 2026 semester. The class is capped at 30 students, primarily undergraduate non-majors fulfilling core requirements. The schedule is Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 AM – 12:15 PM. Candidates with diverse, global perspectives are welcome. The instructor will have the academic freedom to select texts and design the syllabus, or may adapt existing departmental resources.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in English Literature, English Education, or related field.
  • Ability to take reasonable care of themselves, others, and the environment.
  • Adherence to the University’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy & Procedures.
