About The Position

The Dental Hygiene Program in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health, UNC School of Dentistry, is seeking an adjunct faculty member for laboratory and/or clinical teaching. This position is responsible for clinical teaching and will supervise students (DH and DDS ) providing patient care to a diverse patient population, participate in calibration with other faculty, and engage in remediation of DH students. The adjunct faculty member must demonstrate and model the expertise expected of a dental hygiene professional and attend training when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum one-year teaching experience.
• Minimum one-year clinical experience as a registered dental hygienist.
• Current NC license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of a program accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Nice To Haves

• MS in Dental Hygiene Education preferred.
