About The Position

Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking adjunct faculty members in the School of Business Administration to fulfill open course opportunities in the Spring 2027 semester. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm, classroom presence and skills to engage students and should be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for course planning, delivering class sessions, creating and collecting assignments, submitting grades, and be available to students for office hours for one hour per week per course (or more if needed depending on the course, program and department). Instructors may be considered for a single course or multiple courses (up to six semester credits), depending on the needs of the school and its academic areas. All teaching opportunities in the SBA for Spring 2027 are synchronous, in-person undergraduate and graduate courses. Successful candidates must be able to teach in person in Spokane, Washington. Gonzaga will not reimburse adjunct faculty for relocation, travel, or lodging expenses.

Requirements

  • Degree in the area of expertise the adjunct is applying to teach in (or a closely related field).
  • Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period: Daily (>75% of time)
  • Ability to move about on foot to accomplish tasks: Daily (>75% of time)
  • Ability to move or transport objects up to a specified weight: Often (50%-75% of time)
  • Ability to focus on detailed tasks for extended periods: Daily (>75% of time)
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively: Daily (>75% of time)
