About The Position

STLCC is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for the Fall 2026 semester, during the day hours. This is an onsite, in-person position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date. The role involves providing instruction in Introduction to Business (BUS 104), Principles of Macroeconomics (ECO 151) and Principles of Microeconomics (ECO 152), and holding scheduled office hours, conducting evaluation of student learning, and maintaining appropriate documentation at the Meramec and Wildwood campuses.

  • Masters degree in Economics / Business

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for class sessions
  • Teach classes in a face to face format
  • Grade student assignments in a timely manner
  • Respond to student e-mails in a timely manner
  • Meet students as necessary outside of class to answer questions/review course material
  • Participate in required orientations, training, and instructional meetings
  • Complete required compliance training, including but not limited to FERPA and Sexual Misconduct training
  • Coordinate with department chairs, program coordinators, or full-time faculty regarding course content and expectations
  • Implement department-approved textbooks, course materials, and assessment practices
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills in the instructional discipline
  • Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs within the scope of the assigned course(s)
  • The College reserves the right to assign other normal instructional responsibilities as may be appropriate for part-time faculty.
