About The Position

Gateway is currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach in-person/hybrid Psychology courses for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves providing instruction and familiarizing students within specific areas of study, covering both theory and practice. Instructors are expected to stay current with changes in their field and contribute to program updates. Technical positions aim to equip students with the necessary background, knowledge, and basic skills for effective job performance. Preferred candidates will demonstrate the ability to teach at various levels to support program needs, possessing energy, enthusiasm, and an in-depth understanding of their discipline.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Experience working at the community college level is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and familiarize students within the specific areas of study.
  • Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in their respective field(s).
  • Keep abreast of changes in their field and help keep the programs updated.
  • Provide students with the background, knowledge, and basic skills needed to function effectively on the job.
  • Teach at various levels to help support their programs.
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field.
