About The Position
The highly-sought-after position of university supervisor requires professional expertise in the K-12 educational arena. This position is responsible for supervising the field component of clinical teaching/internship and submitting all documents required for state certification of teacher candidates.

Responsibilities
- Serve as communicators for the Director of Field Experience, distributing handbooks, documents, and other important information.
- Act as role models for clinical teachers/interns.
- Guide clinical teachers/interns through the weeks of clinical teaching/internship.
- Ensure clinical teachers/interns complete appropriate paperwork.
- Perform informal and formal evaluations, praising and critiquing instructional and classroom management activities through timely-submitted evaluation instruments.
- Provide documentation during the clinical teaching semester/internship year.
- Act as a liaison between Texas Wesleyan University School of Education and the K-12 school community.
- Negotiate minor conflict resolutions between clinical teachers/interns and school personnel.
- Nominate outstanding clinical teachers/interns.
- Provide references for clinical teachers/interns upon completion of clinical teaching/internship.
