About The Position
The English Department at CSU is a vibrant and diverse place, home to poets, linguists, literacy researchers, teacher educators, novelists, literary scholars, composition specialists, and writers of creative nonfiction. The department shares a passion for exploring the multiple and dynamic ways the English language is used to meet the demands of life in the twenty-first century. The teaching load for instructors is 1-4 sections each semester. Typically, instructors will teach College Composition, and a range of other composition and lower-division English classes.
Requirements
- MA or MFA required.
- College teaching experience in English Studies (literature, composition, etc.) required.
- A PhD or equivalent is prerequisite for teaching advanced courses.

- Experience as instructor of English courses.
Responsibilities
- Preparing lectures, discussions, and course activities.
- Creating assignments and exercises.
- Holding regular scheduled office hours.
- Grading course materials and student assessment.
