About The Position

The Languages & Literature Department periodically seeks a qualified, part-time instructor to teach Spanish courses. Teach Spanish courses at a variety of times and locations. Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines. Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress. Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community. This instruction may be asynchronous or synchronous web-based or residential on the Alpine campus. This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
