About The Position

Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Dietetics or Nutrition
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • Utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
  • Reach and grasp objects
  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Use of video display terminal
  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Communicate information orally and in writing
  • Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy
  • Ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
  • Applications without attached copies of official transcripts or non-web based unofficial transcripts will not be considered. Transcripts for Adjunct positions must either be an official copy or a college-stamped student copy or a non-web based unofficial transcript, scanned into an electronic format and attached to their application. Transcripts produced through web-based student systems will not be accepted.
  • Degrees earned in the United States must be conferred by an accredited institution of higher education recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Degrees earned outside the United States must be validated by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). An evaluation report from an accrediting organization must be attached prior to the application closing date of each position.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices. This activity includes developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Analyzes class and program needs of the College. Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
  • Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates. Maintains calendar as necessary to track these schedules and adjusts as required.
  • Assist students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
