About The Position

Southeast New Mexico College is seeking applications for Adjunct Instructors in Mathematics. Accepted candidates will teach undergraduate Mathematics courses based on departmental needs. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for delivering curriculum, providing effective instruction, and assessing student learning in alignment with course outcomes and college standards. Courses may be offered in face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or Master’s degree in a closely related field of study with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned Mathematics courses in accordance with approved syllabi and learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver instruction using appropriate and engaging instructional strategies.
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Comply with college policies, procedures, and academic standards.
  • Participate in required training and departmental meetings, as applicable.
