About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach on-site Mandarin Language and Culture courses. This position is based in Manchester, NH, and will begin in Fall 2026. The instructor will report to the Associate Dean for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE). The available course is LMN 111 - Elementary Mandarin Language and Culture I, which meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 pm to 6:15 pm.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, Applied Linguistics or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin equivalent to near-native or native-level fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as scheduled
  • Participate in course content development
  • Access student work and provide prompt feedback
  • Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course
