About The Position
The landscape design and management program teaches courses about the world of plants, soils, landscape design, and sustainable landscape practices to help a student begin, or enhance, a career in the original "Green" industry. Students learn the core fundamentals of landscape design, plants, and sustainable land management.
Requirements
- AS degree or higher in related field
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
- Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
- Preparing course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, assessments, and handouts.
- Evaluates and grades students' classwork, laboratory work (if applicable), assignments, papers, and examinations.
- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines. This includes maintaining the minimum requirements in Blackboard according to the DCE contract.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with students.
