(Pool) Adjunct Instructor - Interpreter Education

About The Position

Wilson Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for potential future class instruction in the ASL Interpreter Education program. These positions may or may not be available at this time, but qualified applicants may be contacted in the future. Part-time/adjunct faculty are responsible for providing quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interpreting, Interpreting Pedagogy, or closely related field
  • RID National Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years teaching experience
  • Experience with online instruction
  • Experience with Moodle
  • Master's degree in interpreting or closely related field

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes
  • Maintain and submit accurate attendance
  • Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades
  • Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor
