About The Position

Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. This is a face to face course. Local applicants only. Qualified applicants should apply following the specific instructions noted in each job posting. For all positions, a Masters Degree in the relevant field is required, along with related work and/or academic experience. For most postings, a Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred. The Interior Design program at Park University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses in areas such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Revit/BIM, and Commercial Interior Design. Adjunct faculty typically teach 3–6 credit hours per semester depending on program needs and instructor availability. Courses are offered face-to-face on the Parkville Campus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related design field.
Professional experience in interior design, architecture, or a related design discipline.
Masters Degree in the relevant field.
Related work and/or academic experience.

Nice To Haves

Ph.D. or other terminal degree.
Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Proficiency in industry software, such as: AutoCAD, Revit.
Knowledge of presentation and visualization tools, such as: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Professional certifications such as: NCIDQ.

Responsibilities

Teach courses in areas such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Revit/BIM, and Commercial Interior Design.
Successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled.
Complete other training if required by the department.
