About The Position

Brandeis University’s Online Industrial Organizational Psychology Program is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for RIOP 105 Psychometrics and Measurement for the Fall 1 2026 session. This 3-credit asynchronous online course is an 8-week requirement for the Master of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology. This course will consist of a survey of core theories and empirical findings in industrial‑organizational psychology with emphasis on job analysis, motivation, work design, organizational culture, and evidence‑based interventions. Students apply theoretical frameworks to diagnose workplace problems and develop practitioner‑oriented solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s, Ph.D. or PsyD) in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, Statistics, Applied Psychology or Human Resource Management (with a quantitative focus), Organizational/Behavioral Science, Data Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience within diverse industries or sectors, with a focus on HR/people analytics, talent assessment, psychometrics, test/instrument analysis or design/development, personnel or workplace research or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of methods for constructing and evaluating measurement instruments using reliability and validity evidence, applying classical test theory and basic item response theory techniques to interpret test performance, and using psychometric evidence to inform selection, development, and research decisions.
  • At least 1 year of teaching or training experience (preferably online/asynchronous).
  • Experience with online instruction.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills in an online learning environment.

  • Prior online teaching experience at the graduate level.
