This position involves providing instruction to students in HVAC/R Program courses, preparing instructional materials, and operating relevant technology. The role also includes creating teaching aids, developing and updating courses to align with industry standards, and maintaining classroom/laboratory facilities. Additionally, the instructor is responsible for maintaining student records, assisting with supply and equipment purchases, and staying technically competent through professional development. The position requires participation in campus activities, acting as a technical advisor to students, and developing an individualized development plan for new instructors. Faculty are also required to complete professional development activities and annual safety training. Other duties include substitute teaching, budget assistance, program promotion, student recruitment support, facility security, and assisting in supervising student help. Participation in strategic planning and assessment processes is also required.
