About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), founded in 1953 and located in scenic Upstate NY, is a multi-campus college with locations in Troy and Malta, New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs across three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Hudson Valley is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Adjunct Faculty team starting the Fall 2026 semester. Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Geography from an accredited college or university or related discipline with 12 earned graduate credits in geography.
• Availability to teach in person classes on campus during the daytime.
• Must be able to teach at the HVCC and Malta campuses.
• Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching Human Geography courses at the college level.
• Experience with learning management systems (Brightspace D2L).

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in appropriate courses.
• Evaluate student performance.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, Adjunct faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
