About The Position

The Department of Educator Preparation in the Stout School of Education at High Point University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics Education. This role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate students in Math Methods courses, delivering high-quality instruction, and creating engaging learning experiences. The instructor will also be responsible for developing course materials, assignments, and assessments that align with learning outcomes and program goals, maintaining active communication with students, and providing timely feedback. Participation in departmental meetings and adherence to university policies are also expected.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in Mathematics Education, Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching mathematics methods across multiple grade levels (elementary, middle, and/or secondary).
  • Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and excellence in educator preparation.
  • Experience working with various learners and all-encompassing teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with North Carolina standards and licensure requirements.
  • Experience integrating learning technologies and data-informed practices in mathematics instruction.

Responsibilities
