About The Position

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Computer Information Technology instructors that can teach hyflex courses (meaning face-to-face instruction supplemented with online instruction) are needed. This is a part-time faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Computer Information Technology courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. Courses will be hyflex, meeting on the Kilgore campus typically two days a week and communicating via online technologies the remainder of the time. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom. Current course needs are Integrated Software Applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL.

Requirements

• An associate’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science, or computer information systems
• At least 3 years of fulltime experience working as an IT professional
• Must live in the State of Texas
