About The Position

This position involves teaching Business Administration, Economics, and Accounting courses. The instructor will be responsible for preparing, managing, and delivering course content to meet student learning outcomes, engaging students, and providing feedback. Collaboration with support services, utilization of college technology, and timely completion of administrative tasks are also key aspects of the role. The instructor will foster a positive and professional environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, plus 18-graduate hours in the subject matter such as in: Business Administration, Economics, Accounting

Nice To Haves

• Community College or four-year college/university teaching experience
• Online teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content in order to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.
• Work collaboratively with the College’s support services to identify and address the students’ academic support needs.
• Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes; this includes but is not limited to the College’s learning management system, email and calendaring solution, document management system(s), student information system, and employee portals.
• Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.
• When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
• Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
