About The Position
The School of Business at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), located in Beckley, WV, is seeking applications for part-time adjunct faculty positions. The primary areas of need are Accounting and Finance. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed as openings become available. The salary is determined per course. These are part-time positions and do not include benefits. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the School of Business, which may be delivered in-person and/or online.
Requirements
- For Accounting: Master's degree in Accounting or Accounting Information Systems, or a PhD in Accounting. A JD may be accepted for specific course needs.
- For Accounting: Bachelor's degree with relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE) and at least 5 years of full-time professional work experience in the course content area will be considered.
- For Finance: Master's or doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related discipline.
- For Finance: Evidence of ability to teach effectively.
- For Finance: A combination of a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of full-time professional work experience in the course content area will be considered.
- Commitment to teaching excellence.
- Responsiveness to student needs.
- Good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach in-person and/or online courses for the undergraduate programs in the School of Business.
