About The Position

The Adjunct History Instructor plays a vital role in delivering high-quality education to undergraduate students by teaching courses in various historical periods and themes. This position focuses on fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of historical contexts among students. The instructor will design and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student performance, and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth. Collaboration with department faculty to align course content with program goals and participate in curriculum development is also essential. Ultimately, this role contributes to the academic mission by preparing students to appreciate the complexities of history and its relevance to contemporary issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in History or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated knowledge of historical research methods and historiography.
• Experience teaching history at the college or university level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
